Check the dashboard after sending a proposal. When content changes, the viewing status starts again for the new version. Opening an earlier proposal does not count as seeing your latest changes.

Do email scanners count as views?
Automated email scanners that only request the page do not produce the viewed signal. The signal is based on browser rendering or email verification.
Does a view prove the document was read?
No. A view tells you about access. It does not prove that someone read or understood the whole document.
How long is tracking data retained?
Detailed events are deleted within 30 days of a share being revoked or expiring. The aggregate view count is retained.
